Floor Care is washing and cleaning the floors.

(Floor Maintenance is keeping the floors in good condition by resealing & repairing an damage done to the floors.) Here is how you CARE for your new floors.

 

INTERIOR FLOOR CARE:

- Place door mats at each door inside and out to minimise dirt from being tracked onto the floors 

- Install thick 1/4" furniture pads on all items going on the new floors to protect them from damage.

- Lift or dolly items to thier location. Dragging items damage will them

- Dust mop daily or as needed

- Wash the floors with a NEUTRAL cleaner weekly or as needed follow all cleaner installation and dosing proceedures. Be sure to change dirty water frequently. Neutral cleaners  can be Found at Home Depot or Lowes.   

 

Note: Some clients like using Mop and Glow 1-2 times a month instead of washing with water.  Test first to see if your like it. For larger areas of 1500 sq ft or more consider a Auto Scrubber like the Floor Mate or Larger units for 3000+ sq ft shown above to clean them.   Some clients apply High Traffic Floor Polish 1-2x a year for added protection.  TEST ALL PRODUCTS (Except NEUTRAL CLEANERS) first before using on your floors. 

 

Important: Reseal Floors As Needed.

 

EXTERIOR FLOOR CARE:

​

- Install thick 1/4" furniture pads on all items going on the new floors to protect them from damage.

- Install floor mats to catch dirt

- Put Water catch bins under planters

- Install a water sotfner if hard water (White stains) residtue is present

- Lift or dolly items to thier location. Dragging items damage them.

- Blow off areas as needed

- Rinse off floors with a hose as needed

- Presure wash with a disc cleaner up to 3250 PSI every 6 months or as needed.

- Reseal as needed to prevent water damage

- Any white you see is calcium residue from your water. Install a water softener to resolve this issue.
